Intuniv (Guanfacine) 2mg Tablets is a prescription-only, extended-release medication used for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and in some cases adults under the supervision of a healthcare professional. It may be prescribed on its own or alongside stimulant medications as part of an ADHD treatment plan.The extended-release formulation is designed to provide a controlled release of guanfacine throughout the day, helping improve attention, reduce impulsivity, and support behavioral control. Unlike stimulant medications, Intuniv belongs to a different class of medicines known as alpha-2A adrenergic receptor agonists.
