Methylphenidate hydrochloride is the active component of the prescription central nervous system (CNS) stimulant Ritalin 20 mg. It is frequently given to treat narcolepsy, a persistent sleep condition, as well as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity condition (ADHD) in children (6 years and older), adolescents, and adults. Ritalin lessens hyperactivity and excessive daytime sleepiness while enhancing attention span, focus, concentration, and impulse control.

Take only on doctor’s advice & prescription.
Usual dosage: Once or twice daily (morning & midday).
Swallow with water, with or without food.
Avoid late-night doses to prevent insomnia.
